Lake Brunner Service Centre
Lake Brunner Service Centre marks the northern road entry from Arnold Valley to the settlement of Moana, on the shore of Lake Brunner. The centre provides key commercial infrastructure for the district, including a general store, fuel station, postal, and engineering services.
An industrial vernacular design language references Brunner’s past, with a palette of natural materials, externally and internally, selected to complement the deep, complex colour palette of the surrounding beech-forested hills. The centre is arranged as a grouping of black Colorsteel Corrugate sheds, linked by external structures constructed from upcycled hardwood wharf timbers, sign-written with naturally weathered steel, and landscaped with local quartz granite.
